Training and education has always been very close to my heart and it has always been my endeavour to consciously involve myself in this field. With humble beginnings as an academician in my formative years, I am extremely proud to mention that my vision of Training Institute finally came to existence almost a decade ago.

Bird Academy (Bird Education Society for Travel and Tourism) was founded in 1998 with a vision to create a pool of talent with specialised knowledge and skills required by the travel and related industries. Since then it has constantly enriched and enlarged its activities and offered more than trained professionals who are now occupying executive positions in Travel, Technology, Cargo Management, Airport Handling, Retailing, Hospitality and varied allied fields.

The Academy, besides the above, will continue to upgrade and significantly enlarge its efforts in training entry level personnel through E-learning Mode and Contact Classes to create a vast nursery of highly talented and efficient professionals.

It is my singular pleasure in presenting to you the 1st issue of the BESTT newsletter and I hope that the contents will be useful to you and will show you the guiding light in the field of Travel and Tourism.

With my Best Wishes,
Radha Bhatia
Chairperson, Bird Group
