Authorised Training Centers (ATC): May 2002
IATA Authorized Training Centers (ATCs) are independent training facilities authorized to teach specific IATA training courses and diplomas. ATC is granted based on demonstrated instructional expertise as well as the institution’s overall ability to provide quality training. ATCs recruit and train students, while examinations are organized and supervised by the IATA coordinator located in the respective country or region. Bird academy has 5 ATCs where Delhi is the head office and rest namely- Pune, Mumbai, Chandigarh & Baroda are branch offices. Bird Academy is proud to have received ‘Certificate of Recognition’ from IATA for the ‘High Graduate Success Rate’ in 2009 , Recognition as IATA ATC ‘Premier Circle Member’ for 2010, and is one of IATA top Performing ATC – South Asia from 2011 to 2018 South Asia Top Performing IATA Accredited Training School (ATS) for the year 2016, 2017 & 2018.
Accredited Training School (ATS) : Dec 2008
The Accredited Training School (ATS) is entitled to deliver specialized training based on IATA's standards, manuals and guidelines. We are accredited school for conducting Dangerous Goods Regulations training(initial & recurrent). The school must undergo a rigorous review of teaching materials, tests and instructors' credentials. To maintain endorsement, the school must pass an annual re-assessment. Bird Academy is awarded with South Asia Top Performing IATA Accredited Training School (ATS) from 2016- 2018.
Eligibility Criteria for Admissions

Minimum qualification Senior Secondary (10+2) from a recognized board/university of India or abroad. | Language Skills – English (Read/Write/Speak) | Basic Geography – Understanding of basic geography; Continents, Oceans, Countries. | For IATA Consultant – IATA Foundation Diploma or Minimum 2 years of industry experience. | For Advanced Cargo Rating and Marketing- IATA Cargo Introductory or minimum 3 ½ yrs experience in Cargo Industry.
IATA Distance Learning Program (DLP)

Introduction
The Foundation course is the first of the three levels. The travel and tourism industry sees the role of the travel professional as a more sales and consultancy-oriented one, providing high product knowledge, accuracy, excellent customer service skills, and creativity or out-of-the-box thinking. Introduction
With over 52 million tons of cargo shipped annually, the air cargo industry is the place to be. This course prepares a student to work in the industry. One will learn about basic IATA cargo rules and procedures, how freight forwarders and airline cargo units operate, plus much more. This course is mandated for IATA Cargo Agents in accordance with the IATA Cargo Agency Resolutions.

Introduction
This is a self-teach computer-based training (CBT) programme that teaches basic and advanced fare construction principles, as well as GDS entries to price journeys and issue tickets. It is designed for travel consultants or airline personnel, whose main task is to sell international air transportation on behalf of IATA Member Airlines. Students have up to two years to complete the programme.You will learn through realistic GDS simulation by choosing Amadeus.
Upon completing this course student will have the skills to:
Have an excellent understanding of the mileage system pricing and know how to interpret and read all GDS displays relevant to mileage system pricing | Know how to identify and price different journey types (including Round-the-World journeys and journeys traveled in different classes) | Understand global indicators | Understand fare rules and air fare taxes | Be able to apply all minimum-fare rule checks | Know how and when to use side trips | Know how to add a manual fare to a GDS booking file | Be able to use the IATA/UFTAA Fare Formula to correctly price a journey | Know how to use GDS to issue tickets for manually-priced reservations | Know how to read each field of an ATB ticket | Know how to use the Lowest Combination Factor | Be able to construct and read a linear fare construction | Upon successful completion of the final exam, you will earn the IATA International GDS Fares and Ticketing Certificate with world-wide recognition
